Hi, I’m Juliette Kim, the founder of Legacy Celebration Events. Our journey began in 2018 with our first celebration of life event. Despite the sadness surrounding the loss, I found profound meaning in honoring someone's life in a unique and heartfelt way. Our first event was for a little girl, and we crafted it to be both playful and respectful, reflecting her spirit. Getting to know the family and incorporating personal touches into the design was incredibly rewarding. During our initial site visit, we discovered a giant tree in the garden, which we transformed into a “Wishing Tree” for guests to leave their messages for the family. This experience made me realize the need for a dedicated event planning company specializing in memorials and celebration of life events.

Since then, we have been privileged to plan numerous celebration of life events for families in the San Francisco Bay Area, each one holding a special place in our hearts.

I hold a Master's degree in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University. Although I am not currently practicing, my background in social work has been invaluable in understanding and supporting clients in distress, perfectly blending my passion for helping people with my love for creativity. Knowing that our work brings peace and comfort to our clients gives us immense purpose.

Outside of event planning, I am a bonafide dance mom, chauffeuring our two daughters between dance studios. I met my husband in college at Johns Hopkins University, and we have been married for 17 years. I also enjoy spending time with our 3-year-old Cavachon, Benji. Many of my best ideas for events come to me during my daily walks with Benji, often designing events in my head as we stroll through our neighborhood.
